Performing (in) the Neighbourhood

Step outside, play, and see your neighbourhood in a whole new way.
Join us for “Performing (in) the Neighbourhood” - a series of playful, hands-on workshops happening on Saturdays, May 16th and May 30th from 14:00–16:00 in Tapiola. Part of the &Neighbourhood project by & Espoo Theater, these sessions invite you to turn everyday surroundings into a stage for imagination.
What if a tree became your performance partner? What stories could a street sign tell? How might a bench inspire movement, play, or connection?
Together, we’ll explore public space through performance, curiosity, and play. “Performing” here isn’t about perfection - it’s about tuning into your environment, experimenting, and discovering new ways to express and experience.
No previous experience is needed, just bring your curiosity and a willingness to try something new.
The workshops are designed mainly for adults, but families with children aged 6+ are warmly welcome.
The sessions will be facilitated in English, and participation is completely free.
The workshops are facilitated by performance educator Dash Che.
You’re welcome to join one or both workshops - just sign up using the form below.
Come play, explore, and reimagine your neighbourhood.
More workshops are on the way in August and September. Stay tuned!
