Revontuli Hall is abuzz with energy as rehearsals for Silentopia, the opening performance for this year’s April Jazz festival, continue. Sivuun Ensemble, April Jazz, and Espoo City Theatre’s dazzling joint production premieres on April 14.
How will the forest answer?
A collaboration between scientists and artists, this total work of art uses dance, physical theatre, and live music to examine human impact on the well-being of our planet. Hope and inspiration for the future are at the very core of the performance.
Silentopia brings together an incredible group of leading artists. Ninni Perko visualises new opportunities, whole new worlds, with her delicate and fierce choreography. Live music is by Jarmo Saari, Anni Elif Egecioglu, and Pauli Lyytinen, and the truly stunning visualisation by Alisha Davidow and Ainu Palmu. Sound designer Paavo Malmberg and research scientists Unni Pulliainen and Jaakko Kaartinen join dancers Katri Soini, Jukka Tarvainen, Kaisa Niemi, and Tiia Hämäläinen on stage.
