Our year in numbers

The year 2024 was a vibrant and multifaceted one for us, filled with new opportunities and memorable moments. We cherished the numerous connections, inspiring conversations, and the presence of both new and long-standing theater enthusiasts who joined us in the audience and at our events.

•15 exceptional, thought-provoking, skillfully crafted performances showcasing a variety of performing arts genres
•3,994 cups of coffee served to our audience at Bar Juoru
•1 international festival
•42 public events, ranging from open mic night to musical brunch, artist meet-and-greets to panel discussions, intros to guided walking tours
•3 performances staged on sports fields in Espoo
•56 planning meetings for the new theater being built alongside the cultural center
•42 cardboard boxes transported to eleven schools for performance visits
•1 international co-production premiere hosted by us
•152 free Kaikukortti-tickets distributed to individuals in challenging financial situations
•1 iceberg constructed on stage
•1,531 students participating as Art Testers
•1 performance featuring a fully automated big band orchestra
•2 international co-production premieres abroad
•1 new artistic director
•333 nights of accommodations provided for our visiting artists
•1 Gold Award in Vuoden huiput 2023
•1 Best Design -category award at the Grand One Gala
•2 programmed rice cookers as performers
•1 successful transition to electronic financial management
•1 public protest against budget cuts in the cultural sector
