Arctic Games is a play about the difficulty of success and the meaning of playmates. It is a tale of a challenging attempt to try to continue to love Finns. It is a true story about a game that beats death, and it wonders what will become of arctic identity without the cold.
It is a story of two travelling companions: Marja-Terttu Zeppelin (Heikki Kinnunen), a 75-year–old veteran of our winters, and Martti Piano Larsson (Klaus Klemola), in whom no one has ever been disappointed, and who has drifted into sinecure at his shelter–for–drunkards of a firm that has grown into a film production company. The companions’ paths separated 12 years ago into the world’s northernmost society.Näytä lisää
The play is set on a tiny bay in the town of Kokkola, in the home of Marja-Terttu’s middle-aged daughter, Maura Zeppelin. The story unfolds on that imaginary ultimate shore of humanity where boating is good in December.
Arctic Games is the fourth episode of the Arctic trilogy. The previous episodes are Kokkola, Kohti Kylmempää, and New Karleby.
