What a joy to bring Cirque Alfonse back to Tapiola! This time, &Louhi stage hosts a surreal farm fantasy featuring some of the world’s leading circus performers, musicians, and even a skiing champion – the company hails from Canada, after all.

In Animal, a gentleman farmer runs a farm where chickens have teeth and ducks are up to no good. Tractor wheels and hay bales spin and fly, animals cause all manner of trouble, and music accompanies the mayhem. Gravity-defying acrobatics and the warmth of a family circus play a key role in the performance style of this show. Stars of the show, Antoine Carabinier Lépine and Julie Carabinier Lépine, grew up on farm and, inspired by a performance staged in a barn, founded Cirque Alfonse. This performance takes the company back to its roots.
