Surtitles
At & Espoo Theatre, you can experience live performances in multiple languages. For most shows featuring spoken content, we provide surtitles in both Finnish and English, and sometimes in other languages, too. We have our own mobile app for live surtitles, available for free download to your device. In some productions, surtitles are displayed on the stage.
How to use the surtitle app:
Download the free & Espoo Theatre app from the App Store or Google Play in advance and ensure that your phone is fully charged during the performance.
Upon arriving at the show:
1. Put your phone on silent or in 'do not disturb' mode for the duration of the performance.
2. Open the app and follow the instructions.
3. Select the performance.
4. Choose the subtitle language.
5. Subtitles will start automatically when the performance begins.
