About

What others are saying

"Since the premiere, stage technician Vilma Vantola and I have toured Oulu, Kajaani, and Tampere in our van. Each stage and audience are different, and that makes each performance and connection with audience unique. Audience members are fundamentally really interested in and open to the world we portray in this production.

Straight Acting has been hugely significant for me, from the creation process to first night and the tour, and I'm so pleased to keep performing it - and that new audiences have an opportunity to experience it!"
Anssi Niemi
"Straight Acting addresses not only societally but also individually internalised homophobia, and it plays with stereotypes. On the one hand, it aims to dismantle them, but, on the other, it makes use of them, even as a deliberate provocation." Eeli Vilhunen
